Can Reid Fragel continue to use his Twitter account?

Believe it or not, that’s a burning question facing Fragel and the rest of his Ohio State teammates now that Urban Meyer has taken over as football coach for the Buckeyes.

Fragel, a graduate of , tweeted on Jan. 3 that according to new staff rules, Ohio State football players could no longer use Twitter.

The Lantern, the Ohio State student newspaper, said that Fragel’s tweet came after Meyer held a meeting with the team.

But later in the day, Fragel contradicted his earlier message with this tweet from his @Fragel88 account: “Just now finding out the whole twitter thing wasn't exactly true. #hearsay

Fragel has continued to use his Twitter account, sending eight tweets since then.

Fragel’s tweets have drawn attention from the national media, including a mention on the Jim Rome Show, which is broadcast locally on WDFN-AM (1130).
