2. Today is the last day of business for city offices until Tuesday due to the Fourth of July holiday Monday. In , officials will not return until Wednesday July 6 because Tuesday is a mandated furlough date implemented by city council earlier this year.

3. A developed with the Grosse Pointe Park Housing Foundation, receiving its first anonymous donation of $250,000. The project announced Thursday has already garnered some applicants and the Grosse Pointe Park Business Association is excited about its potential.Â
4. Meet : Harriett, Judy, Susie and Katie. Their owners, Al and Louise Thomas, plan to try to keep their pets, who have become a part of theirs and their grandchildren's everyday lives, to grant them an exception to an ordinance banning animals that are not indoor pets.
