Good Morning Grosse Pointe: June 29

Here are a few things that'll hopefully be helpful in getting the day started.

1. The weather will cool a bit after a cold front moved in Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures are still expected to reach the 70s with sunny, clear conditions.

2. The Michigan Department of Education released results from the Michigan Merit Exam Tuesday and Grosse Pointe shows slight improvement from last year. The district's proficiency and advanced rate is also higher than the state average.  

3. Backyard chickens not barnyard chickens. Yes that's right, a banning such animals explaining they raised the animals from chicks as an educational and bonding experience to share with their grandchildren. What do you think about chickens in the city? Share your thoughts in .
