Grosse Pointe North Golf Team Qualifies for State Tournament
Ali Scoggin, Madison Vens, Paige Micks, Jenna Paglino and Jordy Parent helped the Grosse Pointe North girls golf team finish third at a Division 2 regional tournament.

The Grosse Pointe North girls golf team finished third at the Division 2 regional tournament on Wednesday at Pontiac Country Club to qualify for the state finals.
Grosse Pointe North finished with a four-player score of 376 to place third out of 15 teams at the event.
Birmingham Seaholm finished first, and Fenton was second at the regional tournament.

Ali Scoggin led GPN with a 90. Madison Vens shot a 92, Paige Micks had a 93 and Jenna Paglino and Jordy Parent each had a 101 for the Norsemen.
“I was extremely proud of their effort under extremely difficult conditions,” Grosse Pointe North coach Brian Stackpoole wrote in an email to Patch.

Grosse Pointe North will play in the Division 2 state tournament at the Meadows at Grand Valley State on Oct. 19-20.
Grosse Pointe South will compete in a Division 1 regional tournament on Friday at Dearborn Country Club.
