Grosse Pointe Shores Police Look to Identify Woman
Anyone with information about woman suspected of identity theft is asked to call 313-881-5500. The following information is gathered from the Grosse Pointe Shores Public Safety Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Grosse Pointe Shores police are asking for help in identifying a woman who is suspected in "a sophisticated identity theft scheme."
Det. Sgt. Scott Rohr said in a press release that the woman attempted to make a significant withdrawal from an account at Chase Bank July 7. She presented a Connecticut driver's license at a Canton branch.
The driver's license had the name of the victim, according to the release.

She entered the bank at 45345 W. Ford Road at about 2:50 p.m. During the investigation, Rohr obtained video of the woman's attempted transaction using the fake identification and is asking that anyone who can identify her to call police.Â
