Grosse Pointe South Lacrosse Heads to Semifinals
The team took the district championship last weekend and will play East Grand Rapics tonight in a state semifinal in Howell.
In a few hours, lacrosse will compete in the state semifinal game against East Grand Rapids in Howell.
The team took the district title June 3 during a meet against De La Salle, winning 7-5. During that game, Nick Diehl scored three, Conner Ray two, and Austin Jones and Thomas Shields each scored one goal, according to several parents who attended the match.
Goalie Jeff Blazoff made 16 saves.

The team last earned a district title in 2008 and it was the first time in the school's history to win against De La Salle, the parents said.
Tonight's match begins at 6 p.m.
