Skipping school

A 15-year-old Grosse Pointe Woods teen was arrested May 21 in the 700 block of Hidden Lane on May 21 after officers were called to the area for a report for a suspicious person  in the area and found he possessed a pipe and a sandwich bag with suspected marijuana. According to a police report, a homeowner said he found a baseball bag in his front yard, and a patio chair and planter knocked over in the backyard.

When he returned to the front yard, he found the teen who said he was at the wrong home. Police were called and spoke to the teen who said he was in tenth grade at Grosse Pointe North. Officers found a pipe, and the suspected marijuana, in one of the bags the teen was carrying, and then told police that his “first hour class wasn’t important” and he had skipped to smoke marijuana.
