Gymnastics Team Wins Opener
The Grosse Pointe United gymnastics team defeated Tecumseh in the opening meet of the season.

The Grosse Pointe United Varsity Gymnastics team had a successful start to the season on Tuesday night, beating Tecumseh 136.35 to 117.8 in the season opener.
Fran Kay, Madi Kaiser, and Ashley Krynski tied for the team's high score on vault with a 8.55, while Sarah Fentin's 8.25 was tops on bars. Emma Abessinio scored a 9.15 on beam for the highest score of the meet, and Grosse Pointe ended with a strong team performance on floor exercise, with 9 different gymnasts earning regional qualifying scores and Aubryn Samaroo anchoring the event with a 9.1.
