Labor Day Weekend Brings the Last Chance to Swim in City Pools

Labor Day weekend signifies the unofficial end of summer, and the closure of most of the city pools throughout the Pointes.
The final day residents can use city pools will be Labor Day, except for Grosse Pointe Farms. The Pier Park pool in Grosse Pointe Farms is open until Sept. 8.Â
In Grosse Pointe Park, the Patterson Park splash pad will remain open after Labor Day weather permitting, according to city website.
Other Labor Day items:
- Grosse Woods city offices will be closed Friday.
- If you are going out of town this weekend, traffic restrictions will be lifted on many road projects.Â
- Arts, Beats & Eats runs Friday through Monday in Royal Oak.
