Tigers First Baseman Miguel Cabrera Rumored Buyer of Grosse Pointe Farms Estate
The home, formerly owned by Kenneth and Linda Meade, was reportedly purchased for $3.2 million cash.
The Detroit News is reporting that a company linked to Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera paid $3.2 million in cash for a mansion at 237 Lake Shore Road.
The six-bedroom, seven-bath, 11,176-square-foot home is located next door to a home owned by Ford Motor Co. heir Edsel Ford II. The home, known as Fox Hill, is on a 2-acre, gated lot offering plenty of privacy.

The newspaper said it’s unclear if Cabrera, who also owns a home in Birmingham, will move into the new home.

“I think Miguel’s trying to remain a little bit private so without talking to him, I can’t confirm or deny anything,” said John Cappeller Jr., an attorney for the company that purchased the home, Florida-based Fox Hill Estate LLC.
The home was purchased from Kenneth and Linda Meade.
