Fundraiser to Support the Bentley Family

This is a fundraiser to support the Bentley family John, Sally, and their 3.5 year old grandson, Jacob.

Funds raised will help pay for their accumulating medical bills, utilities, and mortgage. In September 2012 John was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer with tumors on his lungs and liver as well.

The prognosis was 3-6 months. He decided to get a second opinion from Karmanos Cancer Center. After meeting with the Doctors, John and Sally decided to fight the cancer with an aggressive chemo treatment. He was forced to retire from work due to the terminal illness.

The medical bills associated with the cancer treatment are exceeding what they can afford, their portion of each treatment is $2000.00 and he is on his 12th chemo treatment. Two years ago they were made foster parents for their 3.5-year-old grandson.

Sally had to quit working to take care of Jacob. And is now taking care of both Jacob and John. His doctors plan to finish this round of chemo and on March 28th he will have another cat scan to see what the next steps are for him.
