Starting on Thursday, the carnival sponsored by the Hartland Area Chamber of Commerce will come to town filled with games, rides and of course, cotton candy.
According to Jeff William’s of Elliot Amusements, classic rides such as bumper cars and the Ferris Wheel will be in town along with “super” rides such as the Zipper that provide a little more excitement for the older crowds.
There will also be plenty to do for the younger children as well, according to Williams, where 40 percent of the entertainment provided will be geared towards the younger crowd.
“We have about 40 percent that are kiddie rides,” Williams said. “There is a roller coaster train and then even a smaller train that’s on a flat track.”
There will also be many customer favorites in the food and games selections as well, according to Williams who acknowledged many people look forward to items such as elephant ears and sausage wagons.
“And we have toddler games like the duck pond where kids win every time,” he said. “Then all our other games are games of skill where the average on that is one out of three people win every time.”
Geared toward family-friendly fun, Elliot’s Amusements is a Michigan-owned and operated company who are state licensed and inspected on a yearly basis, according to their website, with rides that are inspected daily by employees that carry "special inspectors" cards issued by the State of Michigan.
“Our employees are required to attend a safety-training program and are updated on any manufacturers changes,” the website reads. “Our safety record is one we are proud of. We are fully aware of the precious cargo we carry and we promise to take care of them.”
Tickets for the three-day carnival can be purchased in advance at a discounted price until Wednesday, June 5 at 12 a.m.
