Authorities arrest man who fled from them on Nov. 25 after stalking, assault incident (thelivingstonpost.com) — Police have arrested a man connected to a late-November stalking and assault case that began at a residence in the City of Howell, after he initially fled officers trying to detain him. Working with the Howell Police Department and other agencies, investigators located him in Handy Township on Dec. 15, and he is now being held in the Livingston County Jail pending arraignment. 
2. After one church-led preschool program ends in Howell, another begins (livingstondaily.com) — Families in and around Howell will see a new church-run preschool open at First United Methodist Church in September 2026, partly filling the gap left by First Presbyterian Church of Howell ending childcare and preschool programs.
