• Michigan hunters donate 140,000 pounds of venison through DNR's statewide feeding program (wzmq19.com) — Hunters in and around Howell can donate deer at Great Lakes Custom Meats & More, one of several processors turning venison into food pantry meals statewide. Through the DNR’s Hunters Feeding Michigan program, donated deer are ground, paid for by the state, and quickly distributed as lean protein to families in need throughout the season.
   

• Michigan ATH Bryce Kish discusses recent Minnesota visit and offer (on3.com subscription) — Howell High School standout Bryce Kish, a 2027 Michigan athlete, just picked up his first Big Ten and Power Four offer during a visit to the University of Minnesota. Kish described an electric game-day atmosphere, a strong family culture under Coach Fleck, and the surprise of receiving a full-ride offer in front of his dad. He also holds offers from several other Division I programs.
   

• City of Southfield mulls proposal for new data center, one developers say will recycle its water (cbsnews.com) — Proposed data centers in Howell and Saline Township are drawing protests, while Southfield officials are weighing a smaller, water‑recycling facility that city leaders say better fits its neighborhood. The Southfield council has delayed a decision, asking the developer for more details on energy use and technology, and is inviting public comment at its next meeting.
