- The Kalamazoo Youth Action Council is inviting teens in Kalamazoo to join them at the Kik Pool and celebrate the start of the summer at the "Dive Into Summer" event that will be held this Saturday. The event is inviting teens 13 through 18 to come out and enjoy a few hours filled with music, pool games, water inflatables, and a chance to win some tropical-themed prize baskets. Although it is not required, the planning committee is requesting those who believe they will be attending the event to RSVP via email or call to help the team plan more accurately. The event will be from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., and it will be completely free for the teens attending the event. (WKZO)
- The Kalamazoo Public Schools Board of Education currently is searching for an individual to fill its newest board vacancy as Trustee Tandy Moore announced on Jun. 8 that she was stepping down from her position immediately. Applications are available on the board's website or at the Administration Building Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The application is due Tuesday, Jun. 20 by 4:00 p.m. and after the deadline, the remaining trustees will review the applications and select candidates for the open position. By Michigan law, the new trustee must be selected within 30 days of the previous one's resignation which means the newest member will be chosen by Jul. 8. (WWMT-TV)
- One of the fastest expanding cannabis companies in the state of Michigan is making its way to Kalamazoo as Puff Cannabis Company will be opening its doors on Portage St. this Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Those who attend the grand opening will receive swag bags worth $100 from Puff Cannabis as well as swag and promotions from other cannabis vendors in the area. Those who spend over $100 will have the potential to win one of three prizes. With the expansion to Kalamazoo, company owner Justin Elias hopes to reach a new customer base and continue to serve new communities, and expand throughout the state of Michigan. (MLive.com)

- The Kalamazoo Night Market kicks off for the season this Thursday from 5:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m., and the vendor lineup is primed for a great night.
