• DDG: Secret Santas Give Away Thousands In Cash To Strangers In Detroit 92.9 TOM FM (iheart.com) — Residents in and around Lincoln Park were surprised this week by an anonymous couple who handed out $100 bills at local schools, bus stops, and a restaurant. Known only as Elf 32A and Mrs. Claus, they distributed $12,000 of their own money in one day, continuing an 18-year Secret Santa tradition that’s brought about $245,000 in gifts to the community. 
• Detroit-Downriver State Senate Race Takes Shape (michiganchronicle.com) — Lincoln Park voters are part of a newly redrawn 1st State Senate district where two young Democrats, Justin Onwenu and Abraham Aiyash, are gearing up for a 2026 primary fight. Onwenu has already secured backing from Lincoln Park’s mayor and many Downriver leaders, while Aiyash is positioning himself as a progressive voice. The race will help define what Democratic voters in Detroit and Downriver, including Lincoln Park, want next.
