• WCRC millage to fund two 2026 road-resurfacing projects in the Manchester area (themanchestermirror.com) — Two nearby roads that many Manchester drivers use—Reno Road in Freedom Township and Grass Lake Road in Sharon Township—are slated for milling and resurfacing during the 2026 construction season, funded by the county roads millage. Work will run from mid-April into fall 2026 with flag-controlled traffic instead of full closures, and WCRC will hold a virtual information meeting on January 14, 2026. 
• Local health professionals invited to participate in the Manchester Community Health Fair (themanchestermirror.com) — Local health providers are being invited to host free booths at the Manchester Community Health Fair, held under the Manchester District Library on Saturday, January 31. With a natural health class at 10 a.m. and public fair hours from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., it’s a chance to showcase services and help neighbors kick off a healthier 2026.
• Manchester's historic Blacksmith Shop serves as unique venue for top musicians (wemu.org) — Manchester’s historic Blacksmith Shop is hosting an intimate acoustic concert series running monthly from January through May, featuring regional and touring musicians. Violinist and nyckelharpa player Grant Flick helps book the shows and will perform with several ensembles, giving residents a rare chance to hear top-tier folk and acoustic music in a uniquely atmospheric local venue.
