• Manistee Amphitheater Foundation receives matching $10K donations (manisteenews.com) — A major boost just arrived for plans to build “The Dune” amphitheater at Douglas Park’s First Street Beach in Manistee, with West Shore Bank and Salt City Rock and Blues each giving $10,000 in matching donations. The Manistee Amphitheater Foundation is now refining designs, pricing construction and planning a July 20 “Dune Jam” fundraiser featuring free music, a Lions fish boil and a waterfront drone show.
   

• Lakeside Club gets $2K Great Lakes Energy People Fund Grant (bigrapidsnews.com) — A longtime Manistee County women’s club just secured a $2,016 grant to digitize and protect its 140 years of local records, many of which are now too fragile to handle. Working with the Manistee County Library and Historical Museum, the Lakeside Club will buy specialized scanners, train volunteers, and eventually donate the equipment to support broader preservation of Manistee County history.
   

• Mauntler, McCarthy lead Onekama girls to first win of season (manisteenews.com) — Onekama’s girls basketball team, covered by the Manistee News Advocate, earned its first win of the season with a 41-20 home victory over Kalkaska. Led by Delaney McCarthy’s 16 points and Ava Mauntler’s 14, the Portagers used aggressive defense and a 14-0 second-quarter run to pull away.
