• Mason City Council to vote on ordinance that could pave way for future data centers (wilx.com) — Mason residents should know that City Council is voting on a new zoning ordinance that could open the door for future data centers while adding strict limits on noise, height, water use, and energy sources. After a tense, crowded Planning Commission meeting advanced the proposal, city officials say the move is meant to protect Mason and grow its tax base without more housing or traffic. 
• "Oath that they take": First responders rescue man from burning car after crash in Ingham County (fox47news.com) — Body camera video released in Mason shows a sheriff’s deputy and a Stockbridge officer pulling a trapped driver from a burning car after a crash on M-52 in Stockbridge Township. The 42-year-old Lansing man survived with non-life-threatening injuries, and a retired Lansing police lieutenant says the dramatic rescue highlights officers’ training and commitment to risking their own safety for others.
