Despite a disrupted practice schedule due to the football team’s state title run, the girls showed early-morning commitment and now head to Petoskey’s Sean Pollion Invitational this weekend.
   

• MMACF awards more than $90k in Fall grants (gazettextra.com) — Residents in Menominee and Marinette counties will see more than $90,000 in new grant funding this fall from the Menominee-based M&M Area Community Foundation, backing local nonprofits and community programs. With over $500,000 requested, the Foundation says needs are outpacing resources and is urging community members to consider donating, either online or by mail to its 1st Street office in Menominee.
