Baker College opens first undergraduate campus outside Michigan
Baker College of Reading, Pennsylvania, will welcome its inaugural class April 4 for the beginning of spring quarter.

Baker College has announced the opening of Baker College of Reading, Pennsylvania, its first undergraduate campus based outside of Michigan.
The campus is located in downtown Reading in the four-story building Baker College acquired from the former Pace Institute in 2014 and has renovated. Pace Institute was also a career college and local educational landmark, offering associate degrees and certificate programs for more than 30 years.
Baker College will continue its own century-long legacy of offering academic programs that meet the needs of local employers and prepare students for careers in high-demand fields.

“Like Pace Institute, we are driven to provide the education and training students and employers need to build solid careers and economic security,” said Bart Daig, Ph.D., Baker College System president and CEO. “The new Baker College of Reading is a great fit for the area, and we look forward to serving the community for many years to come.”
Baker College of Reading will welcome its inaugural class Monday, April 4, for 2016 spring quarter. Initially, the college will offer three associate degree programs: business administration, human services and medical assistant. In addition, more than 40 programs are available 100 percent online.

Tony Vuckovich, a seven-year veteran of Baker College of Jackson, has been named campus director. He has served the Jackson campus as director of student services, director of academic services and as an academic advisor.
Baker College of Reading, located at 606 Court St., Reading, Pennsylvania, has received approval from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
