Macomb County Man Takes Explicit Photos Of Child: Police

Police said the incident happened Sunday at a Macomb County home.

CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI — A Chesterfield Township man is in trouble after taking sexually explicit photos of a child, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.

Shane Michael-Frank Werner, 26, was charged with aggravated child sexually abuse activity, aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and accosting children for immoral purposes.

He was placed in the Macomb County Jail with a $100,000 bond. His next court hearing was scheduled for Sept. 4.

If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison for the aggravated child sexually abuse activity charge, up to four years for the possession charge and up to four years for the accosting children charge.

Police said the incident happened at 6:12 p.m. Sunday at a Chesterfield Township home where Werner took sexually explicit photos of a 7-year-old child.

Investigators learned Werner lived in the area and arrested him without incident, according to police.

It was unclear how Werner knew the 7-year-old girl.
