The season's most fragrant festival sweeps into the area this weekend.
The Michigan Lavender Festival is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday-Sunday at Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill, 17985 Armada Center Road in Armada.
Admission is $5 for adults; children under 12 get in free. It includes unlimited seating to all classes and demonstrations. Free parking is available at the 11th annual event.

The festival features an open-air market, handcrafted items from local artisans, gourmet food, natural health workshops, free crafts and activities for kids and more.
