TEAM SCHOSTAK FAMILY RESTAURANTS CONTINUES RAPID EXPANSION OF MOD PIZZA WITH NEW CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP LOCATION

The sixth Michigan location to bring an additional 30 jobs to local residents

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a Michigan-based family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual, quick service and family dining restaurants throughout the state, announced today that it has signed the lease for a sixth MOD Pizza location in Chesterfield Township, Mich., continuing its rapid expansion of the brand across Southeast Michigan. Jake Schostak, TSFR’s MOD Pizza brand leader, made the announcement.

Short for Made on Demand, TSFR is slated to bring MOD’s individual artisan-style pizza and 30 new jobs to the Chesterfield Township community in fall 2016. Located at 23 Mile and Gratiot, MOD Chesterfield Township is the latest move in TSFR’s aggressive growth plans for the brand. In 2015, TSFR successfully opened its first five MOD Pizza locations in Livonia, Northville, Rochester Hills, Woodhaven and Brighton to positive acclaim.

Since launching the brand in mid-2015, TSFR has created 150 news jobs and donated more than $30,000 to local charities in the communities they serve through its grand opening outreach efforts.

“MOD Pizza is thankful and encouraged by the support of those throughout metro Detroit area that have quickly made us the local fast-casual pizza leader,” said Schostak. “As we continue to grow and deliver MODness throughout the state, we look forward to creating more opportunity for our current and potential MOD Squad members that are helping us deliver an authentic, affordable and superfast dining experience to the Chesterfield Township community.”

TSFR announced in late 2014 its plans to bring 25 MOD Pizza locations to Michigan during the next five years. Created in Seattle, MOD Pizza uses fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces, including MOD red sauce and MOD white sauce. Guests can create their own pizzas and salads, using any combination of 30 fresh-featured toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics. Each pizza is hand-cooked in an 800-degree oven in five minutes or less and salads are hand-tossed in front of the customer. MOD Pizza also serves local draft beers, wine, handspun milkshakes, and house-made lemonades and iced teas.
