Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain Expected Monday
The storms could produce heavy rainfall and wind gusts up to 50 m.p.h.

Scattered thunderstorms are likely later today, according to a hazardous weather statement issued early Monday morning by the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac.
The best chances for thunderstorms will be between 5 p.m. Monday and 2 a.m. Tuesday, though severe weather is not expected at this time, according to the weather service.
The strongest storms, however, could produce wind gusts up to 50 m.p.h. as they move east at 25 m.p.h. The storms will also be capable of producing heavy rainfall.
