Crime Report: Woman Accused of Stealing From Northville Meijer With Son in Cart

Woman arrested on shoplifting charges
A 34-year-old Novi woman was arrested on April 6 on charges of shoplifting from Meijer.
According to township police records, the woman was seen by store security shopping in the store, removing items from packaging and concealing them under her purse. She is accused of giving some of the items to her child seated in the cart.
When she and her child went to the self-scan checkout, she paid for some items but not others, according to the report. The total value of the items is more than $100.

Car damage reported
A Plymouth Township woman reported to police that on April 7, while driving near Six Mile and Waterford roads, someone threw something at her car.
According to the police report, she did not know what it was at the time but later discovered egg residue on the car and that it left a scratch.
