Discard Household Hazardous Waste Saturday

Household hazardous waste is everything from motor oils and pool chemicals to lightbulbs and cell phones.

If you missed the last household hazardous waste event, you'll want to take advantage of this one. 

All Wayne County residents can dispose of their hazardous waste, including electronics, Saturday between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Henry Ford Community College, on Evergreen Road in Dearborn. 

Acceptable materials include:

bug sprays
automatic transmission fluid
artists' paints
floor care products
auto batteries (or battery acid)
fiberglass epoxy
furniture polishes
brake fluid
gun cleaning solvents,
pool chemicals
fluorescent light bulbs
motor oils
computers and monitors
insecticides
cell phones
TVs
