Flash Floods Expected Wednesday Evening, Thursday Morning

Northville residents can expect multiple rounds of thunderstorms.

A flash flood watch has been issued for portions of southeast Michigan, including Wayne and Oakland Counties, for Wednesday and Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), there may be multiple rounds of thunderstorms and heavy rain starting 8 p.m. Wednesday into Thursday morning. Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are possible.

The heavy rainfall may lead to rapid road and highway flooding, according to NWS. This includes flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas and rapid rising of streams and rivers.
