Map It: Which Roads in Northville Need Construction?
Construction is planned around Northville beginning in May.

Spring and summer are nearly synonymous with construction season.
The major city construction, which includes water main improvements, planned for this year is on .
Other proposed city construction, according to James Gallogly, the city's Public Works Director include: Fairbrook Street from Center to Wing streets, South Wing Street from Main to Cady streets, and West Dunlap from Wing to Center streets. Construction that could also occur is on S. Center Street from Cady to Seven Mile Road.

North Ely from Center to Jeffrey streets construction is also proposed, which would cost the city about $124,000. Construction on Hillridge Drive from North Ely to the city limits is also planned and would cost the city about $60,000, Gallogly said.
In the township, the roads are almost all maintained by Wayne County, said Thomas Casari, the township's Director of Public Works. Some subdivision roads are maintained privately.

In the township, although no final plans have been made, construction is likely on Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile roads, Casari said. That construction could take place in August.
"It is very high on the list of needing repair," he said.
The city maintains its own roads, with only a few maintained by Wayne County, including major thoroughfares, such as the mile roads and Novi Road. The smaller neighborhood streets are maintained by the city, said James Gallogly, the city's Public Works Director. Northville city has about 25 miles of city-maintained roads and five miles maintained by the county.

City: Gallogly said that in the city, "We welcome (residents) to call them in." He added that the city routinely sends staff out to survey potholes and areas of construction. But if an area is in need of attention, calls can be made to his office at 248-449-9930.
Township: Though the township does not maintain its roads, Wayne County does, Casari said his department is in direct contact with the county about roads. "(Residents) are more than welcome to call me. I will forward their concerns to Wayne County," he said. Residents can also call 1-888-ROAD CREW to report road hazards directly to Wayne County. The county also has an online form to report hazards.
