Northville and Novi Fire Departments Agree to Mutual Aid Arrangement

The City of Northville Fire Department and Novi Fire Department have entered into an automatic mutual aid agreement (AMA), according to a report from the Observer & Eccentric.

Northville Fire Chief James Allen told the newspaper that the arrangement, which will have both providing resources upon request to each other at no cost in time of emergencies or need, has become more common and makes sense. 

In February, at a Northville-Plymouth Fire Advisory Board, Northville Patch reported that Northville and Plymouth city managers reviewed requests from Plymouth Township and the City of Novi for the AMA agreements.
