Northville Coach Needs Votes to Win Inspiring Coach of the Year
Cross country coach Chris Cronin can win thousands of dollars in cash and prizes for his team.
Northville High School boys cross country coach, Chris Cronin, is in the running to be chosen as the most inspiring coach of the year.
The Brooks® Inspiring Coaches Program sought the best high school track and cross country coaches from hundreds of entries.
Cronin, who is also an English teacher and sponsor for the National Honor Society at Northville High School, is one of the 26 finalists. One way he inspires is by confronting athletes head-on with their poor performances.

"I hate to let a bad race stew. I always tell my runners that while I'm disappointed for them, I'm not disappointed in them. I can empathize with them, I've had some horrible racing days in my career. But the sun will come up tomorrow, and that puts us one step closer to another opportunity," he told Brooks.
Cronin has coached cross country for 20 years and track for eight years, according to his profile on Brooks.
