Northville Township Police Department Forms Running Club
The Partners in Your Safety Run Club meets for its inaugural run Saturday, July 13 at 8:30 am at Northville High School. It's free.

Sgt. Tony Dang fell into running. A friend registered for a half marathon, so he joined in. He’s been running ever since.
He’d like to use this hobby to get to know more residents in Northville Township, so he has created the Partners in Your Safety Run Club. It meets for its inaugural run Saturday, July 13 at 8:30 am at Northville High School. It’s free.
Every month Sgt. Dang intends to map out a new route to run to allow participants to explore a part of Northville Township that may be unfamiliar to them.

It also gives them an opportunity to get to know the police officers who protect the community in a more casual meeting.
“We are not always in the business of delivering good news as law enforcement officers, so this is a fun activity that should allow people to see members of their police department in a new light,” Sgt. Dang said. “I’m really looking forward to having our residents join in.”

The first run will be four miles. He may adjust the length of it depending on the feedback from the club participants.
Thanks to the generosity of Northville Township running store Gazelle Sports, participants who register get a chance to receive giveaway prizes. To register, visit https://form.jotform.com/241435549388063.
“I really like running with people, so I hope to see a lot of new faces explore Northville Township with me,” he said.
