Police Arrest Dearborn Heights Man on Marijuana Possession Charges

Northville Township police arrested a Dearborn Heights man July 4 on charges of possessing marijuana, according to a police report.
An officer saw a man driving a 2006 Pontiac G6 near the intersection of Haggerty and Seven Mile Roads without the headlights on, the report said. The officer smelled marijuana after pulling the car over, according to the report.
The man said that he had some marijuana in a bag in the backseat, the report said. The officer found 7.5 grams of marijuana and a marijuana "bowl" in a bag on the back seat floor, according to the report.

The officer arrested the man and, while searching the car, found a marijuana grinder, "zigzags" and roach clips in the car's center console, the report said.
The man paid a $300 cash bond and has a hearing July 31.
