School Board Expels Student Who Caused Lockdown at High School

The Northville Board of Education permanently expelled from the district the student who made violent threats connected with Northville High School in December, leading to a lockdown, according to a HomewtownLife article.
The 15-year-old student, whose name has been withheld for privacy reasons, was arrested in January and faces felony charges of false terroristic threats and false report or threat of bomb or harmful device, the report added. The former charge is punishable up to 20 years in prison if convicted, and the latter charge is punishable up to four years, according to the report.
The school board decided on its action of expulsion during closed executive session Feb. 10, the report stated.
