Season 2 Premier Announced For MTV Show Starring Northville Actress

Fans of MTV's Awkward. will soon get to see Northville actress Jillian Rose Reed continue in her role as quirky Tamara beginning June 28.

The show will begin its second season airing on Thursday nights, according to an announcement on the show's Facebook page.

Reed – who attended – plays Tamara, the boisterous best friend of the show's protagonist. The show is narrated by Jenna, a teenager who starts off her school year trying to refute a false rumor that she botched a suicide attempt. The role is played by Ashley Rickards.

In , Reed said she hoped the second season would hold more insight into what makes her character tick.

“I definitely would like to see more of Tamara’s home life. We met her mom briefly in episode six but I would love to see more about where she comes from and what her home life is like,” she said. “She’s such a quirky character I just think it would be awesome to explore what makes her so quirky.”
