Stefana Boutique Adds Bling to Northville's Style

Stefana Boutique opens tomorrow at 122 West Main St. in downtown Northville.

Stefana Boutique is opening Monday in time for downtown Northville's Girls' Night Out.

Owner Stephanie Fermanis Stojanovski, who has lived in Northville for 13 years, said she picked the 122 West Main St. location because she saw it regularly and thought it would be a beautiful spot for a women's clothing store.

"I’m going to have women's fashion -- accessories, purses, shoes and jewelry for the contemporary women," she said.

She said items range from casual to dresses appropriate for homecoming and going out on the town. Her store is also for a wide age range, she said, and there are items for teenagers and women in their 20s, 30s, or 50s and up.

Her big-hit products are bracelets with rhinestone crosses and purses in fun colors for everyday use, Stojanovski said. Customers will notice that there are many rhinestone-studded items, she said.

"We were joking that the motto should be: you can never have too much bling," she said.

Monday's opening is what Stojanovski calls a soft opening. The store will be open for regular hours -- 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday to Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. However, the red carpet grand opening is May 3 where there will be wine and hors d'oeuvres from 6 to 9 p.m., she said.

She said it's always been on her mind to open a retail store for women.

"I’m a mother, too," she said. "A lot of these clothes they have in stores are not appropriate for women. My goal was to have clothes that ware appropriate for working women, mothers and all types of women."
