This information was provided by City of Northville police.

Someone vandalized property at Cooke School around 9 p.m. Aug. 24, according to a City of Northville police report.

A tipster told police that a man was spray painting a 30-yard dumpster at Cooke School, 21200 Taft Road, the report said. When the tipster, who was out for a walk, confronted the man, he fled on a bicycle, according to the report.

The witness said the man looked to be about 18 years old and had shoulder length blonde hair and was wearing shorts and no shirt, the report said.

The officer saw a freshly red spray-painted figure that looked like a face on the rear gate of the Dumpster, according to the report. There were also the letters “Burr” and it appeared that the word was not completed, the report said. The paint was still wet, according to the report.
