Northville Man Faces Kidnapping, Sex Crimes After Luring Girl, 14, To His Home: Police
Police said the man used social media to contact the girl and then arranged and paid for an Uber to bring her to his house.

NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, MI — A 22-year-old Northville Township man is facing kidnapping and sex crimes after police said he used social media to lure a 14-year-old girl to his home.
Charles Willis was charged with kidnapping, enticing a girl under 16 for immoral purposes, child sexually abusive activity and first-degree criminal Sexual Conduct. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail with a $1 million bond.
Police said Willis contacted the 14-year-old girl on Snapchat last Friday. He then arranged and paid for an Uber to bring the girl to his home, which is roughly two hours away from where the girl lives, police said.

Once at Willis' home, police said the girl was told to stay in the basement. Two days later, police said the girl was found walking alone near Seven Mile and Sheldon roads at 5:30 a.m.
After talking with the girl, officers searched Willis' home and arrested him in connection with the incident, police said.

During the search, officers also learned that Willis has had prior run-ins with police agencies regarding inappropriate sexual behavior and attempts to entice minor girls, police said.
Because of that, police believe there may be more victims.
