Young Artist Art Fair Showcases the Artists of Tomorrow, Today!

Saturday, March 16, 11 am – 3 pm at First Presbyterian Church of Northville, 200 E Main St., Northville, MI

The Northville Art House is proud to present its eight annual Young Artist Art Fair, Saturday, March 16, from 11 am - 3 pm, at the First Presbyterian Church of Northville, located at 200 E Main St in Downtown Northville.

Executive Director Shannon Karol shares, “The fair provides young artists with the opportunity to explore and demonstrate their creativity as well as get a glimpse into the professional world of art. Artists produce, price, and sell their artwork to the public, keeping 100% of their profits.”

This year, 30 artists between the ages of 8 – 18 will showcase their diverse artistic talents through original artwork and crafts. The work includes a unique collection of drawings, paintings, collage, jewelry, textiles, prints, journals, and greeting cards created in a variety styles and media and influenced by nature, pop culture, everyday life, and more. In addition to selling their work, the artists are competing for awards selected by a panel of jurors from the community.

Karol adds, “For the awards this year, we have created two age divisions, one for Ages 8 – 13 and the second for Ages 14 – 18. We will be recognizing six students, three from each division, with awards based on the quality of artwork and table presentation.”

While shopping for art and gifts, visitors can enjoy youth musical performances between 11 am - 2 pm as well as a student art exhibition held throughout the fair. The exhibition features work by students in Northville Art House’s After School Art Programs at Amerman, Ridge Wood, Thornton Creek, and Winchester Elementary schools as well as students at Northville Presbyterian Preschool.
