8 Mile Construction Plus More for the Week Ahead

Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your week in Novi.

1. In case you missed it

With the announcement on Wednesday that the U.S. Supreme Court ruled the Defense of Marriage act unconstitutional, locals have flocked to Twitter to share reactions on the landmark ruling.

2. Local voice of the week
Novi schools are officially on break and Novi Public Library has already turned the right page with their Summer Reading Program.  Registering over 1,000 patrons in the first week, the program is for all ages and is intended to help children and teens keep up with their reading during the summer months and enjoy some programs and activities along the way. 

3. Save the dateThe Metro Novi chapter of BNI is a million dollar chapter with seasoned professionals doing business in Novi and surrounding communities. Visitors are welcome for a well structured fast paced weekly networking opportunity.

4. For your information
Road work signs are going up along Eight Mile Road. It's part of a $4.7 million project to resurface the road between Napier and Taft roads, in the City of Northville and on the border of Novi and Northville Township. 

5. Last chanceEighty Oakland County families including six families in Novi kindly rolled out the welcome mat to YFU exchange students in the academic year just completed.  Can you enjoy this opportunity for 2013-2014?
