Reader’s Digest wants to know: what makes your town the Most Interesting Town in America?

From now until May 31, residents are invited to log on to www.readersdigest.com/america to share their personal stories and images that illustrate what makes their town special. The author of the winning story will receive a cash prize of $1,000 and their town will be featured on the cover of an upcoming issue of Reader’s Digest magazine. 

Residents can also vote for their town in a weekly tally of the popular vote across the country. Who's winning this week? Polo, IL is in first place with 24,621 votes followed by Joplin, MO and Cumberland, VA.

The contest is part of the Reader’s Digest's We Hear You America campaign, a grassroots initiative that serves as a catalyst to empower Americans to help their communities.
