The Art Institute of Michigan Features Community High School Teachers in Gallery Show

, located in Novi, joins The Art Institutes schools across the nation in paying tribute to talented high school arts and media educators in an April gallery show: What Those Who Teach Can Do.

“We’re celebrating what these educators do in our community by hosting their work in our gallery” said Janet Day, president of The Art Institute of Michigan. “Teachers work endlessly to cultivate skills and talents in our area’s high school students, and now we want to shine a light on the talent they use every day to inspire.”

More than 45 Art Institutes locations in the United States will host What Those Who Teach Can Do. This will mark The Art Institutes’ first nationwide gallery highlighting the artistic work of local high school educators. “The truth is that teachers do so much, more than we can ever see,” said Day.

The Art Institute of Michigan invites the public and family, friends and students of the artists to attend the reception on April 19 at no charge.
