Botsford Hospital Offers Diabetes Prevention Class

The class will be held in Novi from July 9 to August 6.

Botsford Hospital’s Diabetes Prevention Project is a five-week, action-packed class. Registered dieticians at Botsford Diabetes and Nutrition Services in Novi will help you change your lifestyle by making the most out of your food choices, exercising and staying active, discovering your healthy lifestyle barriers, and having weekly goals and weigh-ins. 

The project runs on Mondays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. from July 9 to August 6 and costs $20. Call 248-477-6100 to register. Space is limited to 25 people. Class will be held at Botsford Diabetes and Nutrition Service, 39830 Grand River Ave., Novi.

  1. Are you 45 years of age or older?
  2. Do you have a parent, brother or sister with diabetes?
  3. Are you African-American, Hispanic, or Native American?
  4. Are you overweight?
  5. Do you get too little physical activity?
  6. Do you have high blood pressure?
  7. Do you have high cholesterol?
  8. Did you have a baby that weighed 9 pounds or more at birth?
