Detroit Lions Hold Camp For Kids At Novi High
Children ages 6-14 can participate in the camp, which will run for two days at Novi High.
NOVI, MI — The Detroit Lions will be holding a two-day fundamental skills mini-camp at Novi High July 29-30. The camp is open to children ages 6 to 14 at a cost of $105 per attendee. The camp is designed to introduce and teach offensive and defensive football concepts to children.
Here are some highlights:
- 1 day of offensive positions & 1 day of defensive positions
- Individual character development with an emphasis on the Detroit Lions 5 Points of Pride
- High energy, non-contact, fundamental football instruction
- Interactive drills and skills competitions
- Emphasis on USA Football’s Shoulder Tackling System - for a better and safer game
- 10:1 Athlete to Coach ratio
- Appearance by current or former Detroit Lions player
- Registration includes (2) 2017 Detroit Lions home pre-season game tickets
- Fundamentals Camps/Mini-Camps: each offensive and defensive position, punting & long snapping, and general kick coverage concepts

Lunch is provided by the Detroit Lions for all participants during full day academies unless otherwise stated in the confirmation email. Lunch menu will vary depending upon the camp location but will be communicated during the confirmation e-mail and/or additional correspondence regarding that particular camp.
Football Camps and Academies are non-contact. All necessary equipment will be provided by the Detroit Lions Football Camp. Football cleats are recommended but not required.

All camps will be conducted by our Detroit Lions Football Education Coaching Staff. This staff is a Heads Up Football certified staff, consisting of current high school and college coaches, past players, teachers and parents who are ALL motivated to teach and coach on a daily basis. It is their goal to provide a meaningful and positive football/character education experience.
Participants are welcome to wear mouth guards, but it is not required. Mouth guards will be available at camp for sale for $1. Those interested can register for the camp, here.
