Detroit Pistons Conditioning Coach To Share Fitness Tips in Novi

Arnie Kander will speak at a free seminar.

Meet Detroit Pistons strength and conditioning coach Arnie Kander at located in Novi on Saturday, June 16 at 2 p.m. and listen to his free strength and conditioning seminar. He will provide tips on getting motivated for summer fitness of all levels, according to a press release. 

Kander is entering his 21st season with the Detroit Pistons. He works on the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries for the Pistons, but also designs specific programs that are aimed at enhancing individual players’ flexibility, strength and aerobic conditioning.

An innovator in the strength and conditioning field, and a 1987 graduate in physical therapy from Wayne State University, Kander began his career as the sports coordinator at Crittenton Fitness Institute. He then moved on to Rochester Knee and Sports Therapy where he worked as a staff therapist. While working for the Pistons, Kander has consulted and developed conditioning programs for some of the Detroit area’s finest professional and amateur athletes.

Kander and his wife, Denise, have two children; son Ian and daughter Lindsay. The family resides in Lake Orion.
