About the Gardeners
The Gardeners of Northville and Novi is an evening garden club, affectionately called “The NO-NOs.”
“The main focus of our club, other than the key community service projects we do, is mostly social,” Raub said.
The group of nearly 40 men and women of all ages meet on the second Monday of each month from September through June in the Northville Art House.
Meetings include socializing, a program or speaker and a business portion. Topics are not necessarily about gardening, but have included cooking demonstrations and crafts.
You don’t even have to be a gardener or live in Northville or Novi to join the club.
“It’s a great way to meet people and just have fun,” Raub said.
The club was started in 2002, and the members contribute to two main community service projects: maintaining the gardens are the Northville Art House and maintaining house for monarch butterflies at .
Members pay a fee of $25 per year, and those interested in joining can stop by a meeting or contact Raub at Braub55@yahoo.com or by calling her at 248-449-4579.
