Governor Rick Snyder spoke in Novi Wednesday about his plans for Medicaid expansion as part of his "Healthy Michigan Now" campaign.
Fox Run Retirement Community resident Anne Bickford asked Snyder what would insure the federal government pays for the Medicaid expansion and how the state will contribute.
"How will Michigan have the money to pay the 10 percent it's going to have to pick up?" she said.

The federal government is going to pay for the first two or three years, Snyder said, and then Michigan needs to cover 10 percent of the costs.
However, the state will save money overall, he said.
"We're currently proving some services that will be covered by the federal government," he said.
He said the state budget will be about $200 million better after the start of this program starting with the first year. Snyder said the state can set aside half of those savings each year for a health savings account, which will pay for the Medicaid expansion.
