Kathy Crawford Launches Re-Election Campaign for County Commissioner
Crawford currently serves the 9th District.

Oakland County Commissioner Kathy Crawford (R) held an event in Novi Thursday night to launch her campaign for re-election.
Crawford currently serves the 9th District, which includes Novi and Northville. She gathered with local supporters at Thursday night, incluidng Novi Mayor Bob Gatt, Mayor Pro-tem Dave Staudt, and City Council members Justin Fischer and Wayne Wrobel.
"I'm really appreciative of the support I've had over the years in Novi," Crawford said.

She will be running against Democrat Gwen Markham for a two-year term in the upcoming election.
Crawford said she has a lot of issues she is in the middle of working on for parks and recreation and seniors that she hopes to be able to continue.

"I really feel like I'm in the place I should be," she said.
Crawford was elected as a commissioner in 2010 and is the vice chair of the general government committee, a member of the finance committee and a member of the planning & building committee. She also sat on the Novi City Council from 2007-2010 and previously worked for the Novi Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department.
She and her husband, Hugh, who serves in the Michigan House of Representatives, live in Novi and have been married for 46 years.
