Local Decorator Receives Award for Novi Makeover

Local decorator and business owner Veronica Simmons was recently honored to receive a top design award in her company’s international design contest for outstanding design work. The award was presented at Decorating Den Interiors’ 43rd annual conference held recently in Atlanta.

Simmons was awarded first place prize for her dramatic room makeover in the Home Office category. This transformation took place in Novi, where a local couple (a doctor and a teacher) needed a functional, yet aesthetically-pleasing, space to work at home. The Simmons Team worked with them to give them exactly what they asked for and within their budget.

This was the company’s 28th annual International Dream Room awards competition. Judging was done by journalists from across the U.S. and Canada who write about interiors for such publications at Traditional Home, House Beautiful, Design NY, and for national syndication and regional publications. Winners were selected based on their design excellence, creative problem solving and overall presentation.
