Motorcyclist Killed In Northern Oakland County Crash: Police
A motorcyclist was killed in a Monday morning crash with a pickup truck in northern Oakland County, according to Michigan State Police.
HOLLY TOWNSHIP, MI — A motorcyclist was killed in a Monday morning crash with a pickup truck in northern Oakland County, according to Michigan State Police.
A 53-year-old Burton Man was riding a 2002 Honda north on Holly Road near Belford Road, while a 2002 Chevy pickup was driving south on Holly Road approaching Belford Road, police said.
The pickup truck was turning left at the Holly and Belford intersection at 9:50 a.m. when the motorcyclist slammed into the truck, police said.

The motorcyclist was killed in the crash, police said. Officials said he was not wearing a helmet.
The 66-year-old Novi man driving the pickup truck was not injured in the crash, police said.

"It is important with summer right around the corner that we look twice for motorcycles," First Lt. Mike Shaw said. "We all need to share the road together and make sure we remain alert."
